Thanksgiving messes with the inmates' karma

It's Thanksgiving and I am thankful. I may be one of the luckiest people alive and I appreciate it, Lord.

Having said that, WILL SOMEONE LOCK THESE PEOPLE UP? The Not Nice Kid and two little boys from the neighborhood set the woods next door on fire this morning. In the process, they melted a pair of goggles to see what would happen and what HAPPENED is that the rubber melted into TNNK's hand. Having made the "serves you right" speech, her hand hurts. I wish I could make it better.
The Big Boy is being an ass because...OH YEAH. It's Thanksgiving and I HAVE TO COOK. He is irritated because I won't go upstairs and honk on Bobo, but since HE CAN'T COOK I have a few things to do.

We missed the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade because we can't find the remote and I don't know how to get from 262 to 048 on the box. Other than standing there and punching the button that many times and THAT ain't gonna happen.

I spent all day yesterday making a Bourbon Pumpkin Cheesecake and I'm afraid I overcooked it. Which is a pisser because it is a LOT of time and a LOT of money. To overcook.

Sooooo...obviously it's time for a cocktail. There are Bloody's in the refrigerator, cold beer in a cooler and I'm betting if I look far enough in the back I can find a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator, too.

Eeeny meeny miney mo.

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all. It's a good time to be alive.

Yes, the image IS intended to be ironic. ::snicker::

I am pleased - and feeling a bit guilty - to report hat this was, perhaps, the best Thanksgiving I've ever had with the in-laws.

It could have something to do with the fact that my MIL is now medicated into a state of semi-normalness. Also, most of the little kids are now teenagers, and I like teenagers. No more running around MIL's house SQUEEEEALLLING.

Of course, over at my FIL's house there were a whole new batch of babies being passed around, which does not bode well for Thanksgiving Future. But that's another cocktail...concern...for another day.
